Sean Bean, 59, says he is ready for a fourth child

Sean Bean has said he’s ready for more children with his fifth wife – at 59 years old.

The Game of Thrones actor married Ashley Moore, 33, who is 26 years his junior, in 2017, and says that he is now considering expanding his family.

He already has three children, all daughters – two from his second marriage to Melanie Hill, and another from his third marriage to Abigail Cruttenden.

Talking to The Times about whether he would have any more children, he admitted: “Possibly, yes. With Ashley, yeah. That would be nice, that.”

Bean has been divorced four times, but said in the interview that approaching 60 had made him look back on his previous relationship from a more mature point of view.

He said: “You know, you look back on things and think, ‘maybe I should have done that in a different way. Maybe I wouldn’t have done that. I’d do that differently now.’

“But then again you’re a lot younger, they’re different times, and you think, ‘would I have done that? Would I really do it any differently?'”

The actor met his fifth wife Moore by chance when they happened to be drinking in the same pub, The Cobden Arms in Belsize Park, London.

He explained: “She was there with friends and I came in with my friend, and it was just a chance meeting.

“I used to go in there now and again, but it was the first time she’d ever been in. We kind of hit it off.”

Bean’s first marriage was to high-school sweetheart Debra James, which lasted from 1981 to 1988.

He was then married to actress Melanie Hill from 1990 too 1997, and Cruttenen, also an actress, from 1997 to 2000 after meeting filming Sharpe.

Before Moore, he was married to actress Georgina Sutcliffe from 2008 to 2010 and spent seven years as a bachelor before his current marriage.
