UPDATE: South Wales Police confirmed at 8pm on 22/4 that Taylor has been found safe and well.

Police have issued an appeal after a young boy went missing from his home in south Wales on Monday afternoon. Taylor, aged 10, was last seen shortly before 5pm on Monday, April 22, in a street called Nixonville in Merthyr Vale, some five miles south of Merthyr Tydfil.

South Wales Police has released a picture of Taylor, and believe he may have headed to Cilfynydd or Aberfan. They are asking anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts to make contact with them.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Taylor, aged 10, has been reported as missing by family. He was last seen this afternoon (Monday, April 22), at around 4.55pm on Nixonville, Merthyr Vale. He was last seen wearing a blue fleece top, grey trousers, and bright blue crocs. Taylor may have headed to Cilfynydd or Aberfan. Anyone who may have seen Taylor, or who has information which will help us find him, is asked to contact us quoting occurrence number 2400130056.”
