Search under way for missing Hinckley pensioner

UPDATE - Leicestershire Police confirmed that Mark had been found safe and well earlier on Wednesday, May 1. They thanked everyone who shared their appeal.

A search is under way for a missing Leicestershire pensioner. Mark Cunningham, of Hinckley, has never been reported missing before and officers and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare, Leicestershire Police said.

Mark, 72, was last seen at around 5pm near the Clifton Way shop on the Hollycroft estate in Hinckley Road in the town on Monday (April 29). Police have today released a picture of Mark and asked the public for help to find him.

Mark is 5ft 5ins and slim. He wears glasses and has "messy" grey hair and stubble.

When he was last seen, Mark was wearing a green coat with a black or grey jumper underneath. Police said he was also wearing a white shirt underneath the jumper and coat.
