Body of Dothan man recovered in Lake Eufaula

EUFAULA, Ala (WDHN) — Authorities have found the body of a Dothan man who fell overboard in Lake Eufaula.

Eufaula Police identified the man as 65-year-old Will Anthony Newman.

According to the Eufaula Police, Newman was on a fishing trip Wednesday afternoon when he fell overboard near the Cheneyhatchee Bridge.

Newman’s body was found around 8:00 p.m. by dive and search teams.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Division is investigating the case.

The search teams consisted of the Eufaula Police and Fire Departments, Game and Fish, ALEA Marine Division, Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, and Houston County Dive Team.
