Security Camera Captures Heartwarming Moment Couple Reunite With Missing Cat

A cat reunited with its owners at their home in York, England, after going missing almost three months earlier.

Amanda Appleyard’s Ring camera captured the heartwarming moment she spotted the beloved cat, called Rodd, as she and her husband arrived home on December 26.

Amanda can be heard shouting her pet’s name, before throwing aside the drink she was carrying to run towards him.

Another clip shows Amanda hugging and kissing Rodd, who had been missing since mid-October, as they wait for her husband Mark to come and let them inside.

“He’s been feeding,” Mark says in the video, before commenting on Rodd’s robust physique.

“Nearly every few days he would go roaming quite far. He would bring us a field mouse or two sometimes,” Amanda told The Yorkshire Post.

She said that this what she assumed he was doing on the night he went missing, but was worried by the fifth as night as it was coming up to Halloween.

“These cats of mine are my everything, just like my kids, they mean the world," she said. “I could not sleep at night knowing he was not asleep inside with us.” Credit: Amanda Appleyard via Storyful
