Taraji P. Henson
Outstanding supporting actress in a motion picture winner Taraji P. Henson was a burst of sunshine in this sculpted yellow Del Core gown.
Kerry Washington
Kerry Washington, winner of the outstanding news/information (series or special) category for 20/20 – Kerry Washington: Thicker Than Water – A Conversation with Robin Roberts, stepped out in a chartreuse silk chiffon Vivienne Westwood Couture dress and Bulgari jewelry.
Usher
Usher — winner of both the outstanding male artist and entertainer of the year categories, as well as the President's Award — posed in a black satin LaQuan Smith suit with a matching satin dress shirt.
Fantasia Barrino
Outstanding actress in a motion picture winner Fantasia Barrino wore a custom Mônot gown with a major bow, matching sequin gloves and Messika jewelry.
Leslie Jones
Outstanding performance in a short-form series winner Leslie Jones brought the drama in a draped, off-the-shoulder design with a thigh-high slit, gloves and a crushed velvet Tyler Ellis clutch.
Quinta Brunson
Outstanding actress in a comedy series winner Quinta Brunson dazzled in this Naeem Khan dress. However her earrings went missing, she admitted during her acceptance speech. “I lost both my earrings, so if anybody sees my earrings could you just — little dangly things, cost a lot,” she said to laughs in the crowd.
Keke Palmer
Quadruple nominee Keke Palmer rocked a Tom Ford tuxedo jacket with Dolce & Gabbana pants and shoes for the ceremony.
Yara Shahidi
Outstanding actress in a motion picture nominee Yara Shahidi turned heads in a Ferragamo dress with an asymmetrical top topped off with Cartier jewelry. She also rocked a black-tip French manicure, according to the behind-the-scenes imagery she shared on Instagram.
Sheryl Lee Ralph
Outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series nominee Sheryl Lee Ralph twirled on the red carpet in this flowy lime Georges Hobeika gown and gold sandals.
Andra Day
Andra Day, who performed Minnie Riperton’s “Memory Lane” for the In Memoriam segment, shone in a shimmery cobalt blue Naeem Khan gown with a one-shoulder neckline and a thigh-high slit. She paired the striking design with a matching feather cape, sparkly gloves and platform sandals.
Danielle Brooks
“My chapter(s) with @thecolorpurple have come to an end,” Outstanding supporting actress in a motion picture nominee Danielle Brooks shared on Instagram, adding, “Onward and Upward.” For the final ceremony of awards season, she wore a black gown accented with two wristfuls of gold bangles. Not shown but also worth noting: the gold hardware in her hair.
Tichina Arnold
Outstanding actress in a comedy series nominee Tichina Arnold kicked up her studded denim heels — which perfectly matched her dotted white suit — on the red carpet.
Halle Bailey
Triple nominee Halle Bailey chose a strapless Nicole + Felicia Couture dress with a pleated corset for the occasion.
Ava DuVernay
“The best was last. The Image Awards,” the Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture nominee Ava DuVernay said of the ceremony on Instagram. For it she wore a floor-skimming lilac dress with an embellished panel, plus a triangle-shaped Prada clutch.
Misty Copeland
Misty Copeland, whose movie Flower was nominated for outstanding short–form (live action), bossed up in a Dolce & Gabbana outfit, featuring an unbuttoned, popped-collar top. "Can’t get enough of last night’s look," she wrote on Instagram of the ensemble, which she accessorized with David Yurman jewelry, a Manolo Blahnik clutch and patent Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.
