Ever since Keeping Up with the Kardashians first aired in 2007, the famous family has publicly shared almost every aspect of their lives — including major milestones like engagements, which of course came with massive diamond rings.

Dating back to the early 1990s when Caitlyn Jenner proposed to Kris Jenner with a 20.5-carat diamond, Lorraine Schwartz has been the Kardashian-Jenner’s go-to jeweler for all things wedding-related. Schwartz is responsible for iconic pieces like the two engagement rings that Kanye West gifted to Kim Kardashian (the second of which was stolen during her 2016 Paris hotel robbery) and the oval-cut diamond that Travis Barker custom-designed for Kourtney Kardashian.

In addition to the confirmed engagement rings they've shown off, several members of the family have sported enormous diamonds on that finger throughout the years without a known engagement, leading fans to speculate about several potential proposals.

Kim Kardashian’s 20.5-carat engagement ring from Kris Humphries

After six months of dating, former NBA player Kris Humphries proposed to Kim in 2011 at her Beverly Hills home with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz emerald-cut diamond ring. The gorgeous bauble was made up of a 16.5-carat emerald-cut center stone flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids, and reportedly cost $2 million.

“I didn’t expect this at all,” Kim told PEOPLE at the time. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Of the ring, Humphries said: “I just knew I wanted it to be big.”

The basketball player added a few sentimental touches as well, inscribing the piece with two Bible verses.

“There’s one verse [Proverbs 31: 10-31] about the perfect godly woman,” he told PEOPLE. “The other, [1 John 3:18] is about love. It took me … a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones." A third inscription, “K [hearts] K,” finished off the custom ring.

The couple tied the knot on Aug. 20, 2011, though their union famously lasted only 72 days before Kim filed for divorce. In 2013, The New York Times reported that Humphries auctioned off the engagement ring at Christie’s in New York for $749,000 (including the commission).

Kim Kardashian’s 15-carat engagement ring from Kanye West

Shortly after divorcing Humphries, Kim reconnected with her long-time friend Kanye West and the pair's romance quickly heated up.

In 2013, West popped the question to Kim with a 15-carat cushion-cut diamond ring set onto a thin pavé band from Lorraine Schwartz. The rapper presented Kim with the massive rectangular diamond after he surprised her at San Francisco’s AT&T Park, where the ballpark screen read “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!!” as an orchestra played.

Kim and West officially tied the knot with a lavish wedding that spanned multiple countries on May 24, 2014. Though West would later give her another massive diamond, Kim kept the original ring and later wore it during her and West's vow renewal ceremony for their five-year anniversary in 2019, which was featured on an episode of KUWTK.

As Kim prepared for the ceremony, she shared a sweet moment with her son Saint, showing him the ring and telling him the story of her and West's engagement. The two then adorably recreated the proposal, with Saint sliding the enormous sparkler on his mom's finger.

Kim Kardashian’s second, 20-carat engagement ring from Kanye West

Kim debuted an upgraded engagement ring from West when the couple walked the red carpet together at the 2016 VMAs. “Kanye surprised her with a new ring,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “Kim couldn’t believe it. It’s even more stunning than her engagement ring if that’s possible.”

While the size and shape of the diamond looked very similar to the reality star's original engagement ring from West, jeweler Lorraine Schwartz confirmed that it was a 20-carat emerald cut “excellent, perfect” stone set on a thin pavé band.

During an interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM program, Radio Andy, Kim shared the story of how West surprised her with the $4 million ring.

“I was sleeping and he woke me up in the middle of the night and said, ‘Babe, babe, I got you something from Adidas,’ ” she recounted. “And I said, ‘I’ll get the shoes in the morning babe, I’m sleeping.’ And then he put a box on my pillow, a Lorraine Schwartz box, and he goes, ‘No, open your eyes,’ and I opened my eyes and it was a box, and I like, woke up, and I was like, ‘What is this?' ”

Kim added that West had engraved "Adidas" on the band in honor of his deal with the sneaker company. She continued: "And I was like, ‘Do I have to give my other ring back?’ and he was like, ‘Can you do that?’ and I was like ‘Nooo! You can’t do that, I’m just kidding.’ Thank you, Adidas!”

Just a few months after West gifted her the new ring, Kim was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room during Paris Fashion Week and had over $10 million dollars in jewelry stolen — including the 20-carat diamond.

In 2019, Kim appeared in a campaign for KKW Fragrance wearing a similar-looking diamond ring, causing fans to question whether she had regained possession of the stolen item. However, the star clarified in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that all the jewelry was borrowed from Lorraine Schwartz for the photoshoot. “It was nice to borrow it all and it was nice to give it back to her,” she said.

After six years of marriage, Kim filed for divorce in February 2021, and their split was finalized in November 2022.

Kourtney Kardashian’s oval-cut engagement ring from Travis Barker

For Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s romantic 2021 proposal to Kourtney at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, Calif., he gave her an oval-cut diamond that he custom-designed alongside jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

"It's a flawless, beautifully cut diamond stone," Schwartz told PEOPLE. "I worked on it with Travis and he was a really big part of it. He was really hands-on in the whole making of it. It's gorgeous and they're happy."

Kourtney and Barker later got married during a Las Vegas ceremony in April 2022, before tying the knot again with an elaborate wedding in Italy that May.

In an episode of The Kardashians that aired in May 2022, the eldest Kardashian sister revealed that she accidentally broke the engagement ring by stepping on it.

"I was sitting on my floor folding sweatshirts,” she explains to her mother Kris in the episode. “I took the ring off and I put it next to me on the floor, like, thinking it would be safe right next to me. I had to get something up above in my closet, and when I stepped down, I stepped on the ring."

Though she added that Barker handled the news well and the ring was getting fixed, Kourtney said the incident gave her “a nervous breakdown.”

"I was just like, 'This is the most beautiful thing that I've ever had in my life, and how could I have done that?' " she added.

Khloé Kardashian’s square-cut engagement ring from Lamar Odom

The definition of a whirlwind romance, Khloé and Lamar Odom were engaged less than one month after meeting. Though some outlets estimate that the large square-cut diamond ring the basketball player gave to Khloé was worth an estimated $850,000, the reality share has never confirmed any details about the sparkler.

The pair married only nine days after Odom proposed. "It may seem like it's a quickie wedding to everyone else, but Khloé knows what she wants," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE at the time.

By 2013, however, the couple had called it quits and were officially divorced in 2015. It's unclear where the diamond engagement ring ended up.

Khloé Kardashian’s rumored engagement rings from Tristan Thompson

Khloé and Thompson’s on-again, off-again relationship has been punctuated by several instances of suspected engagements. Just two months after the professional basketball player’s 2018 cheating scandal, the couple sparked engagement rumors when they were spotted at West Hollywood’s BOA restaurant, where Khloé was wearing what appeared to be a massive diamond ring on her left hand, in photos first obtained by TMZ.

In a December 2019 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloé reveals that though they were currently not in a relationship, Thompson gifted her a diamond promise ring for her 35th birthday.

“I was like, I really appreciate it, but I don’t think I can accept it,’ ” she recounted to Scott Disick in the episode. “This is a beautiful new you that I’m seeing, I just don’t want there to be any blurred lines or for you to think anything.’ ”

The pair eventually reconciled in 2020, and Khloé ignited engagement speculation yet again the following year when she posted a photo of her new manicure, featuring a massive diamond ring on her left hand. Thompson left a flirty comment with a string of emojis, including two heart-eye emojis.

In September 2022, PEOPLE confirmed that Khloé and Thompson had been secretly engaged for nine months after he proposed in February 2021. However, Khloé called off the engagement that December after it was revealed that Thompson had fathered a son with Maralee Nichols. The former couple's second child, Tatum, was born in August 2022 after they had split.

Kylie Jenner’s rumored engagement rings from Travis Scott

Like her older sisters, Kylie Jenner sparked engagement rumors over the years thanks to the massive rocks she occasionally sported on her left hand during her long-term relationship with rapper Travis Scott.

In 2017, less than a year into their relationship, Kylie shared a video on social media showing off a large diamond ring, though she never commented further. The following year, just a few weeks after Scott told Rolling Stone that he planned on marrying Kylie, the reality star shared an Instagram post in which she showed off another massive sparkler.

Engagement rumors were stoked yet again in 2021 when the rapper gifted Kylie and their daughter Stormi matching diamond rings. Kylie, who was pregnant with her second baby at the time, shared a photo on Instagram of her hand next to her daughter's as they wore identical rings.

"daddy got us matching rings," the Kylie Cosmetics founder captioned the post.

The reality star never confirmed or denied the engagement speculation. In January 2023, less than a year after welcoming their second child, son Aire, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair had gone their separate ways.

Kris Jenner’s 20.5-carat engagement ring from Caitlyn Jenner

Kris and Caitlyn were married for more than two decades, and during their relationship, Kris sported a 20.5 carat custom-designed Lorraine Schwartz diamond engagement ring.

Following their separation in 2013, Kris allegedly kept the sparkler, according to divorce documents obtained by Radar Online.

Kris Jenner’s rumored engagement rings from Corey Gamble

In August 2018, Kris was spotted wearing a large diamond on her ring finger, prompting fans to speculate whether she and boyfriend Corey Gamble were engaged. When she was asked about it on The Late Late Show With James Corden during a game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts, Kris chose to eat a cricket rather than give an answer.

Since then, the Kardashian matriarch has worn a number of massive diamonds on her left hand, including a heart-shaped ring that she showed off for Valentine's Day in 2023. Most recently, Kris has been wearing an enormous emerald-cut diamond — though she's yet to confirm if the sparkler is from Gamble.
