This summer, the Red Arrows will be travelling across the UK, impressing crowds with their skills and displays.

From the likes of Southport, Silverstone, Swansea, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Blackpool, Edinburgh and even overseas in Canada, the RAF group will be very busy this summer.

While London is often only treated to a flypast by the display team, the Red Arrows will be visiting one popular coastal commuter town with a direct train from London.

Londoners can get a direct train to Folkestone to see Red Arrows this month

Taking place on Sunday, June 30, the coastal town of Folkestone will be marking Armed Forces Day with special Air Displays throughout the day.

Hosted on The Leas Bandstand, offering breathtaking views across the sea and the perfect spot for air displays.

The day will run from 10am to 6pm and along with the air displays, will host classic cars, and weapons as well as a great war trench experience, music and dancing.

The Armed Forces Day celebration in Folkestone will see the Red Arrows team perform along with shows from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (Lancaster and Spitfire)  and more.

Londoners can hop on a direct train to Folkestone from St Pancras International to Folkestone Central, with journeys on the Southeastern taking less than an hour.

In recent years, Folkestone has gained a lot of praise for its welcoming and new atmosphere, with the Harbour Arms attracting many new visitors.
