Selena Gomez Debuts New Blonde Highlights: See the Pics!
The singer-songwriter added dimension to her signature brunette locks, lightening her hair with blonde streaks
Selena Gomez is back to blonde for the holidays.
On Sunday, the "Single Soon" singer debuted some blonde streaks through her brunette locks, posting selfies of her new 'do on Instagram.
Gomez, 31, wore a low-cut black tweed Valentino blazer for the snaps with smoky eye makeup and nude lipstick. She was later snapped leaving her Paris hotel in the same look which she teamed with sheer tights and black, strappy heels. She had also teased her newly lightened hair into a half-up style.
Gomez first started flirting with lighter hair back in 2017, and went fully platinum in 2021. At the time she noted on Instagram that she was going to have to pick out new makeup colors to compliment her hair.
The star also seems to enjoy experimenting with the length of her hair. In March 2022 she showed off a wavy bob, before revealing waist-length extensions just days later.

In February, the Only Murders in the Building star hinted that she was ready for a style change, posting a throwback pic with curly hair.
"I liked my hair back then.. should I do it again?" she asked her followers.
Meanwhile, back in work mode, the Emmy-nominated star has been sharing a collection of sweet snaps with her Only Murders in the Building costars, Steve Martin and Martin Short.
The affectionate post on Sunday included some photos from the show’s set of Gomez with Martin, 78, and Short, 73. It included one where she’s snuggled up to Martin’s side as they walk, and another where she holds bunny ears up behind the two actors’ heads.
Gomez also shared some cute shots of her hugging both of her castmates at different events, along with a photo of her with Short on a red carpet. She captioned the post, “Trio.”
The show's Instagram account showed some love on the post as it commented, “BFFs ❤️.” Hulu — which streams the show — joined in, too, writing, “this friendship 🥹.”
Since the show premiered in 2021, Gomez and her costars have formed a tight-knit bond, and the Rare Beauty founder told TheWrap in June that she’s learned up a thing or two from her veteran scene partners.
“They’ve helped sharpen my skills,” she said of the pair’s impressive comedic history. “I hope to be as funny as they are one day. They are just really gifted at creating a situation out of nothing and making people laugh and I admire that deeply.”
