Selena Gomez Gets a Spinoff Cooking Show ‘Selena + Restaurant’ Shot at Celebrity Chef Hot Spots
Renowned chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Stephanie Izard will teach Gomez the ropes of the restaurant industry
Selena Gomez is taking on the Los Angeles restaurant scene.
On Friday, Food Network announced that the Only Murders in the Building actress will star in a new show called Selena + Restaurant. The show, which will also be available to stream on Max, is a spinoff of her show, Selena + Chef.
Selena + Restaurant premieres May 2 with two back-to-back episodes. The season will feature Gomez exploring the competitive L.A. food scene with her best friend, Raquelle Stevens, who was also featured on Selena + Chef.
Talented chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Alex Guarnaschelli taught Gomez how to cook at home in her original Food Network show, and this time around, renowned restaurant chefs will teach the megastar the ins and outs of the restaurant industry through a series of six episodes.
The featured chefs include Shirley Chung, Keith Corbin, Stephanie Izard, Andrew and Michelle Muñoz, Wolfgang Puck and Marcel Vigneron. Like on Selena + Chef, the chefs will choose a charity to highlight and receive a donation from the show.

According to a release, the “ultimate goal” will be for Gomez to create a dish “good enough to make each restaurant's menu.”
“After cooking mostly virtually from my kitchen with some of the best chefs for the last four years, I was thrilled to step into their world,” Gomez said in a release. “You’ll have to see if being in person helped my skills at all.”
The first episode will see Gomez and Stevens learning a spicy seafood dish from Puck at his restaurant CUT Steakhouse in Beverly Hills.

Meanwhile, while at Chung’s restaurant Ms Chi, the actress will have to create a innovative version of her favorite childhood dish. Of course, there will be several silly moments. The best friends are seen dancing around the kitchen while folding dumplings during their task, per a release.
Selena + Chef first aired in 2020. At the start of the series, chefs virtually taught her how to cook. Later, Ramsay made an appearance on the show as the first in-person guest to teach Gomez a culinary lesson.
Over the years, the show has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for important charities.
Selena + Chef premieres May 2 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on the Food Network and will stream on Max.
