Seoul motorway tunnel crash and fire leaves five dead and 37 injured

At least five people have died and another 37 injured after a lorry collided with a bus in a motorway tunnel, causing a huge fire.

The crash happened in a noise-barrier tunnel near the South Korean capital Seoul.

Pictures of the scene show a raging blaze and huge plumes of black smoke billowing from the tunnel.

The country's National Fire Agency said three of those hurt were in a serious condition, while 34 others were walking wounded.

It is not known what caused the crash and authorities have not said what freight the lorry was carrying.

Officials have said they were close to putting the fire out.
