A number of tram stops are closed on the Net tramline in Nottingham today due to track renewal work. Services will be affected on Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, due to the works, which means the tram stops at Phoenix Park, Cinderhill, Highbury Vale, David lane and Basford are closed.

A replacement bus service will be in operation between Wilkinson Street, Phoenix Park and the Bulwell Bus Station. This service will also stop near Basford, Highbury Vale and Cinderhill.

A statement on the NET website reads: "During the above dates, we will be carrying out some track work at David Lane. The work is required to replace tracks near the David Lane tram stop to ensure we can continue to run a smooth and reliable tram service.

"We will have a dedicated tram replacement bus service operating during this time." The works at David Lane tram stop will be taking place during the day as well as the night.

Engineers will keep noise to a minimum where possible but some noise may be heard whilst work is taking place. All trams will be operating on the normal timetable once more as of Monday, May 20.
