Seth Meyers Puts Pawsitively Hilarious Spin On RNC’s Prison Contingency Plans For Trump

Seth Meyers on Thursday mocked the Republican National Convention for having to come up with contingency plans for if Donald Trump ends up behind bars when it starts in Milwaukee on July 15.

Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, is due to be sentenced in his hush money trial just four days earlier.

“What are those contingency plans anyway?” asked Meyers.

“Are you testing out fake Zoom backgrounds to cover up the jail cell?” he continued. “Trump’s going to be the first candidate in history to accept the nomination in front of a virtual palm tree.”

Meyers said he prayed Trump would accidentally turn on “a joke filter that turns him into a cat like that lawyer who went viral” during the coronavirus pandemic.

The “Late Night” comedian then imagined Trump doing just that.
