Sevenoaks General Election results in full as Conservatives keep hold of seat

Counting taking place in Sevenoaks in the 2024 General Election

Sevenoaks saw Conservative MP Laura Trott keep her seat in the Kent General Election 2024 results with 18,328 votes. It's a seat she has held since 2019.

The Liberal Democrats' Richard Streatfeild came second, winning 12,888 votes. As seen in other parts of the county and across the country, Reform made significant inroads, with candidate James Milmine winning 9,341 votes. Labour came fourth with Denise Scott-McDonald with 6,802 votes.

The Green Party's Laura Manston won 2,033 votes, and winning 298 votes was Elwyn Jones for Rejoin. Bringing up the rear with 209 votes was the Social Democrats with Adam Hibbert.

The Sevenoaks constituency includes Westerham, and also Wilmington which is in the borough of Dartford.

With the exception of the one-year Parliament in 1923, the constituency has to date been a Conservative stronghold.

Sevenoaks represents a rare hold for the Conservative party in Kent. Elsewhere they have lost seats to Labour including in Dartford, Dover and Gravesham, as well as losing Tunbridge Wells to the Lib Dems.

Turnout for the poll was 68%.
