Severe Thunderstorm Brings Large Hail and Flash Flooding to North Texas

Large hail and flash flooding lashed Plainview, Texas, as a severe thunderstorm moved the region on Tuesday, May 23.

Footage by Dwayne Scales shows hail pelting down and blanketing front yards. Other shots show fast-moving floodwater on roads.

The National Weather Service warned storms in the region on Tuesday were capable of producing hail of up to golf ball size and wind gusts of up to 70 mph. They urged residents to avoid driving through floodwater and to seek higher ground. Credit: Dwayne Scales via Storyful
