Shakira announces world tour

Shakira is going on a world tour, starting in November.

The singer made the announcement during a surprise appearance on the first night of the Coachella music and arts festival in California.

She performed her song, Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 alongside DJ Bizarrap.

Shakira announced on stage that she would be hitting the road for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

The Hips Don’t Lie star then backed up the announcement on social media, announcing on Instagram: “So stoked to finally announce that LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN WORLD TOUR is happening! Can’t wait to be back on stage partying and celebrating with my wolfpack! Auuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”

And on X: “Shakira | ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ World Tour ~ starting November 2024 in the U.S and visiting the rest of the world in 2025!”

This will be Shakira’s first world tour since El Dorado in 2018.

No dates or venues have yet been released, but fans can register for the latest information on the singer’s official website.

Shakira released her 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which translates as Women No Longer Cry, on 22 March.

She told The Sunday Times newspaper at the time: “There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together. And the glue that kept it all together was music.”

Songs on the album touch on her split from her partner of 11 years, former pro soccer player Gerard Piqué.

The couple share two sons – Milan, born 2013, and Sasha, born 2015.
