Shane Richie admitted he had “mixed emotions” as he was eliminated from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The EastEnders star was given his marching orders during Thursday’s instalment of the ITV show, after 20 days in camp.

He looked upset as he said goodbye to remaining contestants Giovanna Fletcher, Jordan North and Vernon Kay, who have all made it to the final.

Chatting to hosts Ant and Dec after his exit, Richie confirmed he had always wanted to try the reality show and said it was actually “above and beyond” his expectations.

“You can’t fake it here,” he said.

Ant and Dec also quizzed Richie about the identity of the “phantom dribbler” who has been leaving the privy in a mess.

However, Richie insisted he was innocent, telling the presenters: “I promise you it’s not me!”

Richie said he would now like to see Fletcher win the competition, echoing the sentiments of many viewers.
