‘Shelby Oaks’ Filmmaker Chris Stuckmann Signs With Gersh

EXCLUSIVE: Gersh has signed filmmaker, author, and digital creator Chris Stuckmann for representation in all areas.

Recently, Stuckmann makes his feature directorial debut with Shelby Oaks, which became the most-funded horror film in Kickstarter history, with a record-breaking $1.4M dollars raised. Pic tells the story of a woman’s desperate search for her long-lost sister, a famous YouTuber who investigated paranormal happenings. She falls into obsession upon realizing that the imaginary demon from their childhood may have been real.

Starring Camille Sullivan, Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach, Robin Bartlett and Keith David, the film is produced by Aaron B. Koontz, Cameron Burns, and Ashleigh Snead. Koontz and AMP International are repping it for sales. Recently adding Intrepid Pictures’ Mike Flanagan, Trevor Macy and Melinda Nishioka as executive producers, the project just recently was set to world premiere as part of Quebec’s Fantasia Film Festival.

Stuckmann has long been acknowledged as one of the most popular and influential film voices on YouTube, with over 2M subscribers and over 759M views on his videos. He’s also authored multiple books, including The Film Buff’s Bucket List: The 50 Movies of the 2000s to See Before You Die (2016) and Anime Impact: The Movies and Shows that Changed the World of Japanese Animation (2018).

The multi-hyphenate continues to be represented by Nick McCabe at The Gotham Group, as well as Bloch Law.
