Shop shuts after 38 years as owner speaks of 'difficult decision'

A much-loved shop has closed after nearly four decades of trading in Warwick. Warwick Vacuum Shop has closed on Smith Street.

Warwick Vacuum Shop opened in 1986. It has been a much-loved part of Smith Street for many years with people describing it as 'brilliant.'

Owner Andrew will now be retiring bringing an end to 38 years of dedicated service in Warwick. He closed the business on Saturday, May 4.

Andrew opened up about the closure which he described as a 'difficult decision.' Customers have described the loss of the long-established shop as 'sad.'

Andrew said: “After some 38 years on Smith Street the time has come for me to retire. It has been a difficult decision but it has to be made before they carry me out in a box!

He added: “To all my customers over the years I say thank you for your support and to all on Smith Street good luck for the future.”
