Shoppers pick up fresh produce, cakes and gifts at Witney's monthly farmers' market

Fruits and veg, jams and pickles, eggs, bread, cakes, baked goods and artisan candles were on offer at Witney Farmer's Market.

The monthly market, which is held from 8.30am to 1.30pm on the fourth Friday of the month in the Market Place, provides a wide range of locally produced products from within Oxfordshire or a radius of 30 to 50 miles.

Rachel Matthews runs Heal and Sole which makes hand-poured candles and wax melts from responsibly sourced plant based wax.

Its range of 100 per cent natural soy wax candles are scented with 8 per cent fragrance oil, giving them a slow burn and a long-lasting strong scent.

Fragrances include velvet peony and oud, cedar and sandalwood and sage and sea salt.

Rachel said: "We love nothing more than getting out and about and meeting all our lovely customers.

"They can see - and smell! - for themselves what makes our beautiful candles and wax melts so special."
