New show homes featuring underfloor heating opened
Two new show homes have been opened in Gillingham.
The mayor of Gillingham, Councillor Roger Weeks, inaugurated the show homes at Redrow's new development, Royal Oaks, at a launch event on Friday, January 17.
The development comprises 32 eco-electric homes, featuring underfloor heating and efficient air source heat pumps, which make them more sustainable and energy efficient.
The homes are inspired by the 1930s Arts and Crafts architectural style.

The mayor said: "It was a pleasure to visit the Redrow development in Gillingham.
"This project is an exciting step forward for our community, providing high-quality homes that not only offer modern living spaces but also contribute to the growth of our local economy."
In addition to the development, Redrow has pledged a £1.2 million investment to Dorset Council to improve services and infrastructure in the area.
This will include funding for affordable housing, public open spaces, education, health and transport.
Mark Vanson, sales director at Redrow Southern Counties, said: "Many thanks to Councillor Roger Weeks who helped us officially open the doors to our two new show homes at Royal Oaks.
"I encourage any interested buyers to come and take a look around to get a real feel for the energy efficient homes on offer."
