Hollywood actor, writer and producer Mike Myers wowed fans with a bold new look as he made a rare public appearance at a gala on Saturday.

The Wayne's World and Shrek star, who has an affinity with Liverpool, having previously described the city as his "home", has ditched his signature brunette locks for a grey buzzcut. He was snapped on the red carpet while attending the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute, which was celebrating actress Nicole Kidman.

Celebrity blogger and columnist Perez Hilton shared a video of Mike, 60, on X and said: "#MikeMyers has a bold new look!! He traded in his signature shaggy brunette 'do for a gray buzzcut! Thoughts??" [sic]

The public outing comes after "massive Red" Mike turned up at Carragher's bar in New York earlier this month to watch the match. A snap of the A-lister was shared on the bar's Instagram page, in which Mike can be seen wearing an LFC cap and scarf.

"Mike is a massive RED! When he’s not making us laugh, he’s supporting The Mighty REDMEN at Carragher’s bar. Welcome back to your Liverpool home."
