Britain's Got Talent viewers hit out at judge Simon Cowell's 'inconsistency' in judging the acts as the show returned for a new round of auditions on Saturday night. The ITV show had everything from dogs singing to Batman performing opera.

But fans were seriously annoyed after the final act to appear didn't receive a golden buzzer despite absolutely stunning the audience with his emotional rendition of 'With You' from Ghost the Musical. Harrison, a full time security guard and youth worker, had revealed to the judges that his appearance on the show was a complete surprise to his family - who he had been sitting with in the audience just seconds before.

He told Simon, Alesha, Amanda and Bruno: "I was just sitting there, went to the toilet." After the stunning performance, Simon came under fire from fans after he told Harrison he wasn't 100% sure about putting him through.

Simon told Harrison: "You did perform the song well however you need a lot of practice if this is your dream to be on the West End." He then admitted as it came to voting: "I'm kind of on the fence im going to be honest with you."

He ended up putting him through to the next round, along with the three other judges. But fans took to social media to comment on the Britain's Got Talent official Instagram page as they weren't impressed, especially as Simon had quickly put through earlier acts including one that mimed smashing an air guitar to sounds.

"Harrison should have got the golden buzzer for that performance," one fan fumed. "Shut up Simon. I would give him a Golden Buzzer. He made me cry and that's a rarity," a second commented. A third moaned: "He should get the golden buzzer."

"I don’t care what Simon said I absolutely loved it," another viewer added. "How didn’t he get golden buzzer?" another baffled fan asked.

And another wrote: "The nerves were definitely showing in that performance, I see where Simon is coming from, having said that, he still sang the song very well. But, how could he be 100% certain to put the first guy through, but not 100% certain with Harrison??!! I don’t get it!"

Another added: "So he hesitates putting thru a genuine singer but doesn't hesitate putting thru someone dressed as batman!"
