After a tough couple of games, Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on Wolves in the Premier League tonight.

After falling to a 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa that saw Arsenal sacrifice top spot in the Premier League, the Gunners were knocked out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals following a 3-2 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich. The 1-0 second-leg defeat was the third consecutive game without a win for Mikel Arteta's side, and they will be desperate for three points against Wolves as they return to Premier League action.

With Manchester City in FA Cup action and Liverpool playing on Sunday, a win against the West Midlands would see Arsenal move back to the top of the Premier League table. The last meeting between the two sides earlier this season ended 2-1 to the Gunners, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard both getting on the scoresheet.

So, can Arsenal reclaim first place in the Premier League when they take on Wolves? Let's take a look.

We simulated Wolves vs Arsenal to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 24 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict the hosts could line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their starting XI as follows: Sa; Toti, Kilman, Bueno; Doherty, Gomes, Doyle, Bueno; Lemina, Sarabia; Fraser.

We predict that Arsenal could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.

The first 10 minutes at Molineux were end to end, with Wolves hitting the post twice early on with Matt Doherty and Mario Lemina both causing problems for Arsenal down the right. The Gunners had a handful of chances as well, and in the 10th minute, they were awarded a penalty after Saka was pulled down inside the box.

The Englishman stepped up to take, and after his original effort was saved, a stroke of fortune saw the ball fall back to his feet as he tapped into an empty net. With the lead, Arsenal continued to press for another, and just before half-time, Kai Havertz got on the scoresheet.

A long ball down set Gabriel Martinelli free down the left, and the Brazilian did fantastically to beat two defenders before entering the box. His flick into Odegaard was tapped into the path of Havertz, and the striker made no mistake with his finish as he fired in at the near post to make it 2-0.

With 20 minutes to go, Arsenal grabbed a third, all but securing the three points. Saka sent a deep cross into the box after his original corner was cleared, and Gabriel beat the Wolves high line to head through the legs of Jose Sa from a few yards out in an emphatic victory on the road.
