Six people arrested as police launch murder investigation after man admitted to hospital with head wounds

Six people have been arrested and a murder investigation has been launched after a man was admitted to hospital with severe body and head injuries. A 46-year-old man died following the suspected assault in Lincoln.

At exactly 6.12 pm on Friday, June 14, the force was notified by hospital personnel that a man with severe body and head injuries had been admitted. Tragically, the gentleman passed away at 5.10pm on Sunday, June 16.

The investigators believe he may have been attacked in the vicinity of Frank Swaby Court between noon and 4 pm on June 14. Initially, four people were arrested in relation to the incidenton June 14, including three men aged 31, 32, and 33, as well as a 28-year-old woman.

Two additional people, a 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were detained on June 16, all remain in police custody. Police believe the victim was known to those who carried out the assault, reports Lincolnshire Live.

Detective Inspector Andy McWatt heads the investigation. He commented: "We know how concerning and frightening it will be for people to hear about this investigation and we are making it a priority to find out what happened. We really need all the help we can get from the public, and we're asking you to come forward with anything at all you think might help."
