Yahoo News Six weeks of works on Tavistock Road among latest Plymouth roadworks
There are 41 new roadworks schemes starting in Plymouth this week. And they include a six week long scheme for Tavistock Road.
On Tavistock Road, from Monday, all week, one lane will closed from Woolwell Road to just after Woolwell Roundabout bus stop, 24 hours a day heading inbound. This is for a collapsed sewer to be repaired.
And for the next six weeks on Tavistock Road, the bus lane closed from opposite Sendalls Way to William Prance Road, will be closed 24 hours a day (temporary bus stop in place).

From Monday, and for the next five week, there will be a Rolling road closure on Dark Street Lane from Mudge Way to Redvers Grove, 24 hours a day. This is for the next phase of gain man works being carried out by Wales and West Utilities.
Then on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night, on Platinum Parkway, there will be alternating lane closures in both directions, 7pm to 6am. This is for White lining and surface remedial works. And on Thursday, Gdynia Way (outbound) is closed from 7pm to midnight for cover repairs.
Plymouth City Council has helpfully put out a list of roadworks that will be taking place across the city over the next week. The council is responsible for coordinating works carried out by utility companies, developers and other organisations as well as their own repair, maintenance and improvement works.
They maintain all public roads in Plymouth except the A38, which is managed by National Highways on behalf of the Department for Transport.
“We know there's no good time to close roads, especially on busy routes and we do everything we can to co-ordinate planned works and minimise their impact on our transport network,” a City Council spokesman said.
