Ski Resort Shut After Storm Dumps Three Feet of Snow on Placer County in 24 Hours

Authorities said a winter storm would continue to impact California through Wednesday, March 1, bringing blizzard conditions and making travel “dangerous to impossible” in the region.

This footage, which recorder Cynthia Wu said was captured near Palisades Tahoe, a ski resort in Olympic Valley, California, shows several feet of snow on structures.

The resort reported that it had received three feet of snow in 24 hours and said its mountains were closed on February 28 due to low visibility and avalanche conditions.

The NWS issued a blizzard warning and an avalanche warning in the region and said blizzard conditions could produce life-threatening situations. Credit: @cynthiawu_ via Storyful
