Slack has stopped working, with messages being slow to send – if they appear at all.

The workplace messaging app acknowledged the problems and said that it was investigating a fix.

Slack – along with other services such as Zoom, and Microsoft’s Teams – have become wildly popular in recent months, as companies look to communicate and collaborate through global lockdowns.

But that also means that even relatively small outages can cause significant problems as remote employees are unable to contact each other.

Slacked said on its official status page that “”Some users are experiencing degraded performance across devices".

It posted a number of updated over the last hour, but all of them largely expressed the company’s difficulties in finding the source of the problems.

“We're still working to get to the bottom of the performance issues that users might be experiencing," the most recent post read.

"Thanks for bearing with us and we'll continue to keep you updated as we know more.”
