A pasta bake has been praised by Slimming World fans for being "speedy" and "delicious". Despite being low in 'syns' [the metric used by Slimming World to help people optimise their food and diets], it still feels indulgent and contains a mix of 5 per cent fat minced beef, onion, peppers, mushrooms, garlic and seasonings. It also takes less than an hour to whip up.

Previously sharing the recipe on Facebook and Instagram, The Slimming World Mum said: "Although I'm getting there my appetite is still a bit bleh... And all I fancied was cheese and beans on toast tonight not really exciting I know but this little beauty is exciting."

"It's syn-free, packed full of speed, topped with cheese, involves pasta, I mean it's just everything you want and need. Hence why I'm re-sharing it."

Another added: "Wow that looks amazing so appetising another winner darling well done." A third person chimed in: "This looks so so delicious." In the recipe, she explained how to prepare the mince:.

You can find the complete recipe below. The 'Slimming World Mum' is actually Jessica Cadman - a mother to three boys who has amassed a following on Instagram and Facebook for documenting her five stone weight loss journey with Slimming World.

Recipe

  • Fry off 500g 5% minced beef

  • 1 onion

  • Mixed peppers

  • Mushrooms

  • Garlic

  • Fry in Fry Light until the mince is browned

  • Add in JD Seasonings Bolognese, passata, tomato puree and Worcester sauce and simmer for 40 minutes

  • I then cooked off some pasta and mixed with the mince and poured into a dish, topped with chopped peppers and red onion and 40g reduced fat cheese

  • Bake in the oven until the cheese has gone all gooey and yummy

  • Serve with salad and garlic bread using Schar Gluten Free ciabatta, which I rubbed garlic over, added some mixed herbs and griddled.
