'Slushy' Snow Heralds First Day of Meteorological Winter in Michigan

Snow accumulated in parts of Michigan on Friday, December 1, as meteorological winter kicked off in the United States.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said central parts of Michigan could get up to three inches of “wet, slushy snow,” on Friday.

This footage was filmed by Melissa Near and shows flakes falling in Muskegon.
