Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on Beach in Carlsbad, California

A small plane made an emergency landing on South Carlsbad State Beach in Carlsbad, California, on Thursday morning, January 19, according to local officials.

Footage from the scene shows a single-propeller plane on the shoreline being pushed by incoming waves.

Three people on board were assessed by paramedics at the scene but not taken to a hospital, the City of Carlsbad said on Twitter. According to local media, fire officials said the plane was used to train new pilots and that none of the occupants were injured.
