Small Plane Obstructs 'Beachbound' Traffic on South Carolina Highway

Motorists heading to the shore in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, were stymied on Wednesday, May 29, when a small plane made an emergency landing on a highway, obstructing “beachbound” traffic in the area, local police said.

Footage filmed by Dylan Wadzinski shows the plane moving along Highway 501 in Carolina Forest, a residential area of the city, on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Horry County fire officials, the aircraft landed safely and no injuries were reported. The cause of the emergency landing was being investigated.
