Gurinder Singh Josan has won the Smethwick seat for Labour in the 2024 general election with 16,858 votes. They won with a big majority from Reform UK.

Reform came second with 5,670 votes in the seat. It means Labour has a majority of 11,188. It was the latest of a string of tough results for the Conservatives, who polled just 4,546.

Previously Warley, the new seat of Smethwick comes as a result of the boundary review. Largely remaining the same geographically, part of Blackheath has moved into the new Halesowen seat and out of the old Warley (now Smethwick) constituency.

Turnout: 48.2%
