Smoke From Canadian Wildfires Has 'Moderate' Effect on New York, Mayor Says

Smoke from Canadian wildfires would moderately affect air quality in New York City on Monday, October 2, Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement on Sunday.

The smoke could lead to hazy skies above New York on Monday, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation said.

There were dozens of active fires burning across Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec.
