Snoop Dogg And Martha Stewart To Host Dinner Party TV Show

In what’s set to become one of the unlikeliest collaborations of all time, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart are teaming up for a brand new TV show, in which they invite their famous friends over for a dinner party (Yes, REALLY).

The unscripted show – tentatively titled ‘Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party’ – will see Snoop D-O-double-G and his “home girl” Martha throw a joint dinner party each episode with surprise celebrity guests.

VH1 described the 10-episode series as a “half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation and fun where nothing is off limits.”

In a separate statement, Martha revealed how the show’s blended concept should appeal to today’s audiences. She said: “At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with good, entertaining and celebrity.”

The lifestyle maven also hinted that the show would feature a competitive element, claiming that it will “redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”

Snoop then added: “My home girl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”

Meanwhile, Chris McCarthy - president of VH1 and logo - said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons.

"Good parties are filled with fun, food and unexpected guests. Wait til you see what happens at Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party; it will be unforgettable.”

Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party marks the duo’s first fully-fledged collaboration, but the pair have made numerous television show appearances together before.

Martha, 75, notably invited Snoop, 44, on her chat show not once, but twice – and they even baked brownies and mashed some potatoes together, because why not?

More recently, the dubious double act competed on ABC’s quiz show $100,000 Pyramid and, before that, they both took turns mocking Justin Bieber on Comedy Central’s roast.

In other words, they’re total BFF goals.

Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party is set to debut in the autumn – and we’ll be watching, fo’ shizzle.
