Snow Blows Across Manitoba Highway

Parts of Saskatchewan and Manitoba received heavy snow as a winter storm hit Canada on Monday, February 26.

Footage taken by X user @Clearski shows near-whiteout conditions on Highway 45 as she traveled toward Russell on Monday. A snowfall warning was in effect for Russell, where Environment Canada predicted up to 20 cm (7.8 inches) of snow accumulation and wind gusts up to 60 km/h (37 mph).

CBC reported several schools in Manitoba were closed Monday due to hazardous road conditions.
