Snowboarders Rescued From Cliff During Washington Storm

Two snowboarders were rescued after being stranded on a cliff during a heavy snow storm in Washington’s King County, east of Seattle, on Tuesday night, February 27.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper Rick Johnson praised state Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and King County Search and Rescue crews for their “awesome job” safely rescuing the snowboarders.

Two eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 were blocked over the course of the operation and were later reopened, Trooper Johnson said.
