Yahoo News Sofia Richie shares touching birth update - and reveals meaningful baby name
Adorable news alert: Sofia Richie Grainge and her husband Elliot Grange have welcomed a baby girl!
The 25-year-old model gave birth on 20 May and made the adorable announcement that she had become a mother for the first time on 24 May.
Posting on social media, Sofia shared a black-and-white picture to her Instagram feed. In it, her husband's hands can be seen holding a baby's teensy-tiny feet.
In the caption, she revealed the baby girl's name and shared her joy at bringing her daughter into the world, writing; "Eloise Samantha Grainge 🤍5•20•24 best day of my life🤍."
If the caption is any indication, which we've decided it is, the baby's first name is Eloise. Her middle name appears to be Samantha, a choice which has a beautiful intention behind it.
Samantha was the name of Elliot's mother, who sadly passed away in 2007 following a coma prompted by childbirth complications. With this choice of middle name, the parents are choosing to pay homage to Eloise's late grandmother - allowing her to carry on her memory.
