Soldiers Participate in Memorial Day Ceremony in Normandy, France

Members of the US Army and other civilian officials commemorated Memorial Day in Normandy, France, on Sunday, May 28.

Footage released by the US Army shows members of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, part of the US Army’s Contingency Response Force, marching and performing a gun salute in the Normandy American Cemetery.

The brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance, according to the US Department of Defense.

The cemetery is owned by the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), a government agency that operate US military cemeteries, memorials and monuments across the world. Credit: US Army via Storyful
