A drug dealer from Somerset has been jailed after trying to run away from police who raided his home. Aaron Cooper, 30 and from Shepton Mallet, will spend two years and eight months behind bars.

He was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, April 23, after admitting charges of possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, as well as possession of cocaine. Cooper was arrested when police, including firearms officers, carried out a warrant at his home.

Avon and Somerset Police said he initially ran away from officers but did not get far and was caught within minutes. Officers found cocaine and cannabis concealed, as well as a substantial amount of cash, at his home.
