Something unprecedented is happening in the Pacific, and Hawaii could be in big trouble
UPDATE August 31, 7:47 pm ET: Hurricane Madeline has weakened, but officials are still advising residents to be careful and have been going door-to-door in flood-prone areas to warn people.
Over the last week, two hurricanes — Madeline and Lester — have formed in the eastern Pacific, and their path is now coming dangerously close to the Hawaiian islands.
This has never happened before in recorded history.
