Sophie Morgan 'frustrated' over 'violating' theft of wheelchair attachment and Blue Badge
The items were taken from the Loose Women star's car
Sophie Morgan has told of her frustration after her wheelchair attachment was stolen from her car.
The Loose Women star – who has required a wheelchair since suffering a spinal injury in her teens – said the Batec attachment was taken in broad daylight, a few months after someone broke into the same car and swiped her Blue Badge.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, she said losing the items was “really frustrating” as she relies on them “to give me the freedom and independence I need to be able to live”.

Morgan explained that the Batec attachment “stops me having to push everywhere which is obviously quite tiring and quite difficult”.
My mobility car has been broken into & my wheelchair attachment, called a Batec, has been stolen. It will have NO value to anyone but a manual wheelchair user. I’m heartbroken. If anyone saw/sees anything around Camden, London. Pls report it. A small black suitcase was also taken pic.twitter.com/j05A5XsdA4

“It was in the middle of the day and on a busy residential street - it wasn’t left overnight,” she said.
“It was just one of those really unfortunate things.”
“A few months ago the same car got broken into and my Blue Badge got stolen and that was literally the most disabling thing because much like my Batec, I depend on these things to give me the freedom and independence I need to be able to live,” added the TV star.
“It’s really frustrating,” said Morgan, who has been in the headlines campaigning for improved rights on flights for disabled people.
“Having anything stolen from you is violating and infuriating.
“But I think it’s when it comes to these sorts of items that you think I really can’t live without them and I don’t know how much value they give to your life so please… you have to appeal to that moral sense.”
Morgan was injured in accident in 2003
The TV star suffered a spinal cord injury when she was in a car crash when she was 18.
