Sort out your health worries with Health Awareness Day in Sudbury

A community health event is your chance to find out what support is available in your area to live a healthier and longer life.

Hardwicke House Group Practice Patient Partnership Group will host the Health Awareness Day on July 6.

The event will take place at The Sudbury Arts Centre, with invites extended to Sudbury residents and those from neighbouring villages.

More than 20 organisations, addressing different aspects of health including nutrition, mental well-being and chronic diseases, have confirmed their attendance.

Attendees will have the chance to learn from representatives of groups such as Sudbury u3a, Sudburypeakers Club, Compassion and Abbeycroft.

In addition, event-goers can enjoy entertainment from the Happy Sounds Community Choir at 12pm and a kids' activity area.

The Bridge Project Cafe will provide refreshments.

The event also promises free health screenings like pulse and blood pressure checks.

Among the other health topics, the event will include information sessions on diabetes, heart disease and cancer, aimed at increasing public awareness and promoting wellness.
