A pair of nasty paedophiles who put up adverts pimping out children for sexual abuse have been jailed. Clinton Easy, 31, from Catford, and Tyler Belgrave-Breeds, 33, of Walsham Close in Thamesmead, were both sentenced to two years and six months at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday (June 21) for controlling prostitution and possession and distribution of indecent images of children.

Police used the V100 data analytics tool, which identifies people who pose the most risk using existing police data from victim reports of crime, alongside the Cambridge Crime Harm Index, a tool which helps police measure the seriousness of harm to victims. The Met Police say this lets them prioritise police interventions with the biggest impact.

Easy, a V100 suspect, was caught after police found he was advertising children to be used for sexual abuse. In November 2021, arresting officers seized all of Easy's devices and scanned for incriminating messages, discovering a series of adverts arranging sex with the young girls. Several indecent images were also found on his phone.

After identifying them from phone analysis and trawling through texts messages from Easy’s phone, the force safeguarded three victims, aged 13-17, and provided them with support. Detectives then traced Easy's adverts to a second man, Belgrave-Breeds who had also paid for online advertisement space to promote sex with the victims.

Detective Sergeant Katy Lee, who led the investigation, said: “This investigation was complex with the team reviewing thousands of text messages and tracing different sim cards used by the suspects to try and avoid being caught.

“We are thorough in our work and will leave no stone unturned to build up evidence and help get these criminals behind bars and safeguard their victims from further harm. We take harm to children and girls with the utmost seriousness and I am proud we are able to protect our communities as part of our mission to make London safer for women and girls.”

Commander Ben Russell, who leads V100, said: “Through V100 we’re able to identify the most predatory offenders in London who pose the greatest threat to women and girls. This another great example of how these tactics are working to protect our communities and the relentless work we are doing to make London safer.”

Both men pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing and were placed on the sex offenders register for seven years.
