The South Yorkshire Mayor elections have now been held across the region and the votes are now being counted up.

Across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield voters have turned out in their thousands to select their new mayor. Incumbent Oliver Coppard is hoping for a second term as mayor as he stands for the Labour Party.

In addition, a number of other candidates are seeking to win the county's support. This includes Nick Allen, standing for the Conservative Party, Douglas Johnson for the Green Party, Hannah Kitching for the Liberal Democrats and David Bettney for the Social Democratic Party.
