Southampton issue Wembley ticket update for Championship play-off final against Leeds United
Southampton have sold-out their ticket allocation for Sunday's Championship play-off final against Leeds United at Wembley. More than 35,600 Saints fans will be at the national stadium to cheer on Russell Martin's side for the showpiece fixture.
Southampton progressed to the final after West Bromwich Albion 3-1 on aggregate in a two-legged semi-final. Adam Armstrong (2) and Will Smallbone registered to fire the Saints to Wembley.
Sunday's winner-takes-all clash, which is the final match of the English domestic schedule, is estimated to be worth well over £150m to the winner. Southampton posted a message on X, formerly Twitter, saying: "Our @SkyBetChamp play-off final allocation at Wembley has now SOLD OUT. Incredible support, #SaintsFC fans!

When asked about the prospect of facing United following their win over WBA, Martin said: "I think it's going to be a really top game of football. It's going to be one to look forward to and to also feel a lot of butterflies and nerves throughout the week.
"We have to manage that with the players and staff. The players deserve that. They deserve the opportunity because of how brave they've been.
"They have so much belief and understanding in what they're doing, they've stuck with it even when it's been a bit bumpy at times."
Saints have already beaten Farke's United side on two occasions this season, winning 3-1 at St Mary's before claiming a 2-1 victory at Elland Road on the final day. "I said that from day one, it wasn't going to be easy to change a style of play and a culture," said Martin.
"The club that had a tough, tough year the year before. They've deserved the opportunity to go to the final now, they've earned it.
"They've earned every single bit of it and now they have to really make the most of it. Friday was a beautiful moment for us.
