Pilot Climbs Through Cockpit to Unlock Plane Door in San Diego

A Southwest Airlines pilot was forced to climb through a plane’s cockpit window at San Diego International Airport on Wednesday, May 24, after a passenger from a previous flight accidentally locked the door with no one left inside.

Images captured by Matt Rexroad, who was waiting to board a flight to Sacramento, shows the pilot bending to get into the plane on Wednesday.

Eventually, the pilot unlocked the plane and the next scheduled flight was delayed by only a few minutes, Rexroad told local media. Credit: Matt Rexroad via Storyful
