Southwestern France Slammed by Waves as Storm Fien Crosses the Region

Strong waves lashed the Aquitaine region in France on Tuesday, January 17, as the country’s weather service warned of Storm Fien crossing the South of France.

Meteo France, the country’s weather service, placed multiple departments under an orange warning for Tuesday, due to severe storms.

Footage by Alexis Berthelot shows the powerful storm at night, and huge waves crashing into seawalls in Biarritz in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques region.
