TikTok influencers ‘drugged and raped underage female followers’

A pair of Spanish TikTok influencers have been arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of rape involving underage girls.

The two men, whose names have not been released but who together formed the PetaZetaz duo, are accused of luring girls from among their 80,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram to a Madrid apartment, where they were given drugs that left them semi-conscious and then raped.

The men are also accused of filming the rapes with mobile phones and security cameras in the apartment.

Police talked to five alleged victims who told similar stories of being given narcotic substances before being sexually abused.

They said they had been drawn to the men because of their online celebrity status, with some of their videos racking up more than 50,000 views on TikTok.

Arrested in apartment

The men were arrested in the apartment they used for the meetings at the end of January, police announced on Tuesday.

An underage girl who said she had been abused was found in the apartment at the time of their detention.

Investigators are reviewing video material on the pair’s phones and their security cameras to ascertain whether there are more victims.

As well as IT equipment, police seized illegal drugs during the raid.

‘Who can see double first’

According to the victims’ testimony, the men gave them liquid ecstasy, also known as GBH, in order to play a game they called “who can see double first”.

They also told some of their victims that they had to give them sex as a “payment” for having consumed drugs for free.

The elder man of the duo, who was alleged to be in charge of filming their short videos, songs and skits, is described as a 34-year-old who has been remanded in custody on three counts of rape, exhibitionism, child pornography and public health offences relating to the use of illicit drugs.

The other man, 22, faces one accusation of rape and has been released on bail.
