Jurgen Klopp donned a special red hooded sweatshirt after his final match as Liverpool FC boss drew to a close at Anfield on Sunday.

While he had been dressed in black for the duration of the clash against Wolves, which saw Liverpool bag a 2-0 victory, the jumper he changed into stood out, not just for its colour but due to a special message on it.

The hoodie, which assistant manager Pep Lijnders and others also wore, had a photo of Anfield stadium inside a heart at its centre. It also had text which read: "THANK YOU LUV".

Klopp is a man full of love, and in recent weeks he has signed off heartfelt messages with the term "luv". Therefore the hoodie is a further sign of his gratitude to Liverpool fans.

On Saturday the ECHO published an open letter Klopp wrote to the people of Liverpool. It began: "Before I came to Liverpool I had never written a letter to a newspaper in my life. Now I am writing my second letter to the Liverpool Echo which probably tells you a few things."

Klopp went on to say an emotional goodbye, adding that "Liverpool is the city of open arms" and "giving up is definitely not in the Scouse dictionary."

He later signed off with "thank you luv", as he did in the programme notes for his last game as LFC manager.
